Lac Amance is a large lake where many birds can be seen up close from a nice bird hide. Overlooking wide muddy areas of the lake's banks, surrounded by willows and reeds, you can spot many shorebirds. This place is also the 1st wintering place in France for Lebădă mică, which are coming from Siberia. In winter you can also find divers, many ducks, Ferestraș mic, Ferestraș mare and Șoim călător. In summer terns, (mainly Chiră de baltă, sometimes Chirighiță neagră), and many warblers. In autumn many waders and shorebirds.
Highlight of the year: the autumn migration. When large numbers of Cocor (20,000 to 40,000 birds) migrate to the surrounding areas.
In Radonvilliers, follow the "Caron" road to find the bird hide on Lac Amance. See the map.
On the edges of the neighboring Orient lake and Temple lake are also ornithological observatories, and there are many observation sites near the dams. Not only the lakes are interesting, also the surrounding forests, meadows and orchards are full of birds.
