Etangs de Belval-en-Argonne is a nature reserve with several ponds and covers 203 hectares. The biggest pond is surrounded by a trail and has 3 bird hides. Great place for birdwatching as some less common species can often be seen here. Among the birds you can encounter are Gușă vânătă, Chiră de baltă, Rață sunătoare, Corcodel mare, Erete de stuf, Presură de stuf, Lăcar mic, Lăcar mare, Grelușel de stuf, Barză neagră, Cocor, Nagâț, Pescăraș albastru, Gâscă de vară, Rață lingurar, Rață mică, Egretă mare and Rață cârâitoare.
