Description

Etang Noir is a popular wintering spot for surface-feeding ducks, and breeding area for marshland passerines. Lăcar mare, Lăcar de stuf, Lăcar mic, Presură de stuf, Grangur, Pupăză, Cârstel de baltă, Presură galbenă, Egretă mare, Egretă mică, Stârc roșu, Rață pestriță and Rață cârâitoare. Cristel de câmp and waders on migration.

Access

The reserve is located west of the main Bayonne-Bordeaux highway and midway between Hossegor and Souston. Click the P on the map for directions. The circular trails marked are each about 1 km.
