Description
Etang du Gallardon is a lake located between the river Seine and the town of Verneuil-sur-Seine. Among the more common birds, you will see manyGâscă canadiană, Lebădă de vară, Rață mare, Găinușă de baltă, Pescăraș albastru and Codobatură de munte year-round.
During the spring, you will be welcomed with Chiră de baltă, Rândunică, Lăstun de casă, Drepnea neagră and many other singers. During migrations, you will occasionally find shorebirds on the gravel edges of the lake. Most common will be Fluierar de munte, Fluierar de zăvoi and Nagâț. But, if you are lucky, a Fugaci de țărm or a Fluierar cu picioare roșii will await you ! Winter is the most interesting season for the site, as many ducks and other laridae are coming there. Among the most common figure the Rață lingurar, Rață pestriță, Rață mică, Rață cu cap castaniu, Rață moțată, Pescăruș sur and Corcodel mic. But, there are yearly reports of much rarer birds ! Corcodel de iarnă, Ferestraș moțat, loons, Rață sunătoare have been seen a few times in the last decade.

Access
Etang du Gallardon is located between the town of Verneuil-sur-Seine and the river Seine. From the A13, take the 8th exit and follow the "Verneuil-sur-Seine" signs. You can park in front of the lake, there is a public and free parking lot.
