This large pond is home to nice nesting species as Rață cu ciuf, Rață cu cap castaniu, Rață moțată, Rață pestriță, Lăcar mic, Stârc roșu. In the surrounding bocage, Sfrâncioc roșiatic, Ciocârlie de pădure,Erete sur are also nesting.
In winter, the pond can be hosting Rață mică, Rață cu cap castaniu, Rață moțată, Rață fluierătoare and several vagrants. The place is also really great in times of migration with lots of passerines in the hedgerows and waterfowl on the pond.
