The Col de la Bataille is a site for observing migration. Located in the heart of the Vercors massif. Autumn is the most favorable season.
The Bataille pass is located at 1,313 m above sea level. From September to November, a multitude of passerines pass through the pass. Rândunică and Lăstun de casă are the most abundant. Also Fluturaș de stâncă, Brumăriță de stâncă, Cănăraș galben. In any season, you can observe the local fauna: Vultur sur, Zăgan, Acvilă de munte, Șoim călător.

Français: Le col de la Bataille est un site d'observation de la migration. Situé en plein coeur du massif du Vercors. L'Automne est la saison la plus favorable. Situé à 1 313 m d'altitude, de Septembre à Novembre, une multitude de passereaux transitent par le col. ( Rândunică et Lăstun de casă sont les plus abondantes) aussi Fluturaș de stâncă Brumăriță de stâncă Cănăraș galben. En toute saison, vous pouvez observer le faune local : Vultur sur Zăgan Acvilă de munte Șoim călător.
The Col de la Bataille is accessible by car via the departmental D 199 coming from Léoncel. The migration is observed from the top of the tunnel (September), right in the center of the pass (October). For parking see the P on the map.

The association LPO (BirdLife France), has been carrying out counting operations on migratory birds for several years (Autumn) as well as catches of chirpotères during migration (August-September)
