Description

Aarslev Engsø used to be a drained area and was re-established in 2003 by directing the water from the two rivers Aarhus Å and Lyngbygård Å over its meadows. The lake itself now covers an area of 100 hectares and is surrounded by meadows and reedbeds. Among the birds you can encounter are Codalb, Uligan pescar, Șoim călător, Egretă mare, Gușă vânătă, Pițigoi de stuf, Rață pestriță and Rață cârâitoare. Aarslev Engsø also attracts many uncommon birds that turn up regularly, for example Pescăruș mic, Pescăruș cu cap negru, Chirighiță neagră, Pescăriță mare, Cresteț pestriț, Prundăraș de nămol, Notatiță and Lăcar mare.
