Description
There have been recorded more than 250 birds species. It is a nesting site of the in Silesia rare Pițigoi de stuf and there are nesting some other rare birds like Stârc pitic , Gușă vânătă and Mugurar roșu. It is also a popular bird stop during migration time. In Spring you can see there for example Pietrar sur , Grelușel de stuf , Pescăruș cu cap negru , Uligan pescar and sometimes even Lăcar de pipirig and Privighetoare de baltă.
During the Autumn migration you can see many species of waders like Fugaci de țărm , Bătăuș , Fugaci mic , Fugaci roșcat , Fluierar negru , Fluierar de mlaștină and some other. Also you can observe Cresteț pestriț or Cârstel de baltă.
In Winter it is an ideal place for watching Pițigoi de stuf and if you are lucky you can see wintering Buhai de baltă or Inăriță cu cioc galben .
Various bird rarities were also recorded here: Notatiță , Pietruș , Fluierar sur , Sitar de mal , Fugaci mare , Pescăruș asiatic , Chiră de mare , Chiră polară , Rândunică roșcată , Erete alb , Pescăruș cu coadă scobită , Lăcar de pipirig , Privighetoare de baltă and many others.

Access
The location is inaccessible by car, so it is best to park somewhere in Ostrava and walk to the location or go by bus. I recommend a walk along the western side of the pond. You can make a circle around, but if you want to see some reed birds, it is best to wait near the reeds or go on one of the fishing bridges (but be careful, it can be dangerous).
