Mia Milia Sewage Works is a man-made set of sewage treatment pools and surrounding agricultural land on the outskirts of Nicosia. The site attracts breeding waders and has regularly attracted small but significant numbers of the globally threatened Rață cu cap alb in winter. Other birds you can encounter are Rață lingurar, Rață mică, Rață roșie, Francolin, Flamingo roz, Corcodel mic, Piciorong, Nagâț sudic, Fluierar de munte, Fluierar de zăvoi, Fluierar cu picioare roșii and Fluierar de mlaștină.
