Description
Many species of birds can be seen around the lake Jezero Ponikve in KRK. The area was already known for its snakes, but this is also a beautiful area for birds and insects. Among others, Pescăraș albastru, Prigorie, Codobatură albă, Rață roșie and Egretă mică are species that are regularly seen here. Also a good chance for Corcodel mic. The information boards indicate that released Potârniche de stâncă is also seen here.

Access
Jezero Ponikve is located in the northern part of the island of KRK. Access from different sides possible. Parking in various parking lots around the lake. From the parking lots, quite a walk to get to the lake! Click on a P in the map for directions.
Please note, in warm weather it is a very hot walk! Take plenty of water with you. The information boards state that hunting takes place on Sundays in the summer and that it is mandatory to wear an orange visibility vest!
