Description
Parque Estadual do Utinga is a lush conservation area located in Belém. It spans over 1,393 hectares and is a state conservation unit created with the aim of preserving natural ecosystems of great ecological importance and scenic beauty, stimulating scientific research and, in addition, encouraging the development of environmental education activities, including ecological tourism. The variety of walking trails and habitats is great for birdwatching.

Parque Estadual do Utinga is located in the Curió-Utinga neighborhood of Belém. The park is open daily from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and closed on Tuesday. Entry is free. The park is just a short drive from the city center, making it one of the most accessible Amazonian reserves in the region. To get there, you can take a taxi, drive, or use public transportation. Several bus lines pass near the park entrance, including those heading toward Avenida João Paulo II. There's a 400-space (paid) parking lot available. Press P on the map for directions to the parking. The trails in the park are well-maintained and accessible on foot.
