Plateau du Gerny is an area of open fields surrounded by bushes. Gaie roșie and Gaie neagră are frequent. Annual observations of Prundăraș de munte, Erete sur, Fâsă de câmp and sometimes Cocor on the ground. Rare visiors that have been observed in the area are Fâsa lui Richard, Fâsă roșiatică, Presură cu creștet alb, Presură de grădină, Pasărea omătului, Pupăză, Șorecar încălțat, Erete alb, Acvilă mică, Gaie cenușie and Vânturel de seară.

You can visit the main part of Plateau du Gerny by car but the eastern part is forbidden for cars. The circular route indicated on the map is about 8 km.
