A fast flowing stretch of the Ourthe. A reliable place for Pescărel negru. And beavers. Features also many other common forest species of the Ardennes including tits (Pițigoi de munte, Pițigoi sur, Pițigoi de brădet). Although nearby Cojoaică de pădure is common, here I only had Cojoaică cu degete scurte. In spring try your luck with Pitulice sfârâitoare.

Pescărel negru can often be found along the river near the car park. You can choose a circular trail for a little more diversity. De route shown on the map is 4,3 km.

Good place for Pescărel negru. I only walked the first part of the path because I wanted to see the Pescărel negru. It is indeed right in the first part of the river from the parking lot. This one was not foraging, but washing itself. So also look at the tree roots on the edge of the Ourthe. It's less noticeable there.

Goeie plek voor de waterspreeuw. Ik heb alleen het eerste stukje van het pad gelopen omdat ik graag de waterspreeuw wilde zien. Die zit inderdaad meteen in het eerste deel van de rivier vanaf de parkeerplaats. Deze was niet aan het fourageren, maar zichzelf aan het wassen. Dus kijk ook vooral op de boomwortels aan de rand van de Ourthe. Daar valt ie minder snel op.
Op het einde van het pad aan het water zat een koppel waterspreeuwen. Magnifiek om te zien. En om het plaatje helemaal te maken hoorde ik bij het vallen van de avond ook nog een Oehoe op de berg roepen!
