The Kriephoek is an old Scheldt meander and a public angling water. Cârstel de baltă, Cuc, Stufărică, Lăcar de stuf and Lăcar de mlaștină feel at home here. Other birds you can see are Pescăraș albastru, Corcodel mare, Mărăcinar negru, Pescăruș râzător, Șorecar comun, Uliu păsărar, Vânturel roșu and Ciocănitoare pestriță mare.
