Description
The Handzame Broeken area consists of a extensive agricultural area, being mainly pastures, with scattered trees, bushes and willow tree lanes. The Kreekebeek river flows through the area and is a great spot for waterfowl, like Rață mică, Rață fluierătoare and Rață lingurar. The surrounding pastures are good for flocks of Nagâț. In winter, these pastures are part of the hunting grounds for Erete vânăt. In winter, area is also good for Lebădă de iarnă.
The scattered (willow) trees are great for observing Cucuvea and Porumbel de scorbură. The scattered bushes and fences are a great spot for breeding species, like Mărăcinar negru and Mărăcinar mare.

The area doesn't have walking tracks, but you can observe the area from the road.
