Description

Recreational area Dekshoevevijver is a green area with fishing ponds. You can walk or cycle along the 2 km long path around the ponds. Mostly open water with reed beds here and there. The inner pond is especially worth seeing. Birds that you can see in the area include Lăcar de stuf, Gâscă de vară, Călifar alb, Rață lingurar, Rață pestriță, Rață mare, Rață sulițar and Rață cu cap castaniu.

Nederlands: Recreatiedomein Dekshoevevijver (ook wel "De Gemeentevijver" of "De Kasseman" genoemd) is een recreatiegebied met visvijvers. Je kunt wandelen of fietsen langs het 2 km lange pad rondom de vijvers. Merendeels open water met her en der rietkragen. Vooral de binnenste vijver is de moeite waard. Vogels die je in het gebied kunt zien zijn onder meer Lăcar de stuf, Gâscă de vară, Călifar alb, Rață lingurar, Rață pestriță, Rață mare, Rață sulițar en Rață cu cap castaniu.

Access

Recreational area Dekshoevevijver is located 5 km north of the town of Geel on the Canal from Bocholt to Herentals. Click on the P on the map for directions to the car park. From the car park you can then walk 2 km around the ponds. Dekshoevevijver is freely accessible from sunrise to sunset. In the summer there can sometimes be a fishing competition.

Nederlands: Recreatiedomein Dekshoevevijver ligt 5 km ten noorden van Geel aan het Kanaal van Bocholt tot Herentals. Klik op de P in de kaart voor een routebeschrijving naar de parkeerplaats. Vanaf de parking kun je dan 2 km rond de vijver wandelen. De Dekshoevevijver is gratis toegankelijk van zonsopgang tot zonsondergang. In de zomer kan er een visprijskamp plaats vinden.
