Description
The Buggenhoutbos is the habitat of various forest species that can be found here all year round, such as Ciocănitoare de stejar, Gaiță, Țiclean and Huhurez mic. The grazed meadow is the ideal habitat for Mărăcinar negru, Silvie de câmp, Vânturel roșu and Cânepar. During the migration periods, interesting species can be seen, such as Frunzăriță galbenă, Sfrâncioc roșiatic, Pietrar sur and various birds of prey such as Erete de stuf. Various species such as Potârniche, Prepeliță, Nagâț and Ciocârlie feel at home in the surrounding agricultural plots.

Nederlands: Het Buggenhoutbos is een combinatie van eeuwenoud loofbos met jonge percelen bos. Grenzend aan het bos is een open weide die wordt begraasd door runderen. Het oude loofbos is het geliefde habitat van verschillende bossoorten die hier het jaar rond te vinden zijn zoals Ciocănitoare de stejar, Gaiță, Țiclean en Huhurez mic.
De begraasde weide is het ideale habitat voor Mărăcinar negru, Silvie de câmp, Vânturel roșu en Cânepar. Tijdens de trekperiodes kunnen interessante soorten gezien worden zoals Frunzăriță galbenă, Sfrâncioc roșiatic, Pietrar sur en verschillende roofvogels zoals de Erete de stuf. Access
The Buggenhoutbos is located south of the village of Buggenhout. You can park at the official Buggenhoutbos car park. Press P on the map for directions to the car park. The area can only be explored on foot or by bike. The circular walk shown on the map is approximately 4 km.

Nederlands: Het Buggenhoutbos ligt ten zuiden van het dorp Buggenhout. Parkeren kan aan de officiële parking van Buggenhoutbos. Druk op P in de kaart voor een routebeschrijving naar de parkeerplaats.
