Description

Only 15 km from Innsbruck, the Inzinger Gaisau is one of the last floodplains in the Inn Valley. It has ponds, woodlands, agricultural fields, wet meadows, reedbeds and borders the shores of the river Inn. This makes Inzinger Gaisau rich in habitats and therefore rich in birds.

Birds you can see here are Cocoșar, Pitulice fluierătoare, Ferestraș mare, Pescăraș albastru, Fluierar de zăvoi, Frunzăriță galbenă Silvie cu cap negru, Ciocănitoare pestriță mică and both Cojoaică de pădure and Cojoaică cu degete scurte and many species of tits. In winter sometimes you can encounter large flocks of Sticlete, Scatiu, and in late winter Cinteză de iarnă.

On the northern waters edge you have a good view on meadows and reedbeds. You can find Mărăcinar mare here and with some luck Gaie neagră. On the pond you can see Corcodel mic and different kinds of ducks. Around the reedbeds check for Cârstel de baltă, Presură de stuf, Lăcar de stuf, Lăcar mare and Lăcar mic.
