Orikum lagoon has always been a really popular ringing staion, where several new species for Albania were found. Among the birds you can encounter are Lăcar mare, Rață cu cap castaniu, Rață mică, Privighetoare de baltă, Cormoran mic, Mărăcinar negru, Egretă mică, Stârc roșu, Stârc galben and Erete de stuf. One of the most reliable places to find Stufărică pătată.

Parking usually at bar restaurant Tani from where the path starts. Click on the P in the map for directions or coordinates. You will have the lagoon at your right hand side and some marshes at your left hand side. Your route will be passing near the Orikum Sewage Treatment Plant. The route that is indicated on the map is about 4 km one way.
