Descrição
The Winsford Flashes are three shallow lakes along the course of the River Weaver that were created in 19th century as a result of ground subsidence from brine extraction. The Bottom Flash covers 90 acres, with a Marina on the north and Rilshaw Meadows in the west.

The Rilshaw Meadows is a small public park bordering the Flash and River where large number of gulls gather at all times of the year (Gaivota-parda, Gaivota-argêntea, gaivota-da-asa-escura, etc.) The little forest along the river has breeding Pica-pau-malhado-grande, Carriça, Pisco-de-peito-ruivo and other woodland species).
