Secret Lake in Manchester is a former Victorian reservoir that has been gradually reclaimed by nature. This small rewilded reservoir on the Levenshulme–Reddish border is a peaceful little spot with a quiet woodland feel. Regular sightings of urban‑edge birds like Cisne-vulgar, Zarro-negrinha, Galinha-d'água, Chapim-rabilongo, Toutinegra-de-barrette-preto, Mergulhão-de-crista, Dom-fafe, Pintassilgo, Felosa-musical, Verdilhão-comum and Escrevedeira-dos-caniços.
