The landscape in itself is very special, at least in Switzerland. A mosaic of dry meadows, bushes and limestone slabs. Many thermophilic bird species, otherwise rare in the area, inhabit the spot: Escrevedeira-de-garganta-preta, Poupa, Torcicolo, Picanço-de-dorso-ruivo, Cartaxo-comum, Pintarroxo-comum, Petinha-das-árvores. The Cotovia-pequena has disappeard a few years ago.
The spot is also very interesting for plants with many orchids and other rare thermophilic species.

Acesso
A bus stops in Onnens and there is a 10 minutes walk (1km) to reach the spot. Otherwise there is a small parking just at the spot (see the P on the map).
