Descrição
The Auried consists of a mosaic of habitats in the former floodplain of the Sarine/Saane River and this attracts a variety of wetland and farmland birds. It is especially important as a breeding place for Garça-pequena, Abibe-comum and Rouxinol-grande-dos-caniços in Central Switzerland. Several Milhafre-real and Milhafre-preto (summer only) always patrol the area. Although interesting throughout the year, it is especially rewarding during migration, when a variety of waders, passerines and the occasional Águia-pesqueira stop over.
