Taglamyren Nature Reserve is large, open and has not been destroyed by peat mining or extensive trenching. Taglamyrene is valuable for bird life. Tarambola-dourada breeds in the area and you can see birds of prey like Tartaranhão-ruivo-dos-pauis, Ógea, Milhafre-real and falcão-peregrino. In early spring mornings you can see the Galo-lira courting. From the reserve's parking lot there is a path to a bird tower, from which you have a view of the western part of the marsh and you can see the Galo-lira play.

A short walk from the parking lot to the bird observation tower, it can be soggy, but there are planks to get to the tower. Click on the P in the map to get directions to the parking.

To see the Galo-lira, you have to be there very early, around sunrise. Sometimes there are more than 20 males competing for the ladies.
