The big uppside with Stavstensudde may not be the amount of waders but how close you get to the birds. From the shelter one can get a very good view.
During migration from mid april to early june, and late july to early october this is a nice site for watching a good variety of shorebirds. For example Rola-do-mar, Pilrito-pequeno, Pilrito-sanderlingo, Seixoeira, Combatente, Pilrito-falcinelo, Pilrito de Temminck, Fuselo and Tarambola-cinzenta. Also several pairs of Andorinha-do-mar-anã are breeding.
Rarities that have been seen here are Borrelho-de-coleira-interrompida, Tibetan Sand Plover, Perna-verde-fino, Perna-amarela-pequeno and Pilrito-peitoral.
In winter time islandic Perna-vermelha-comum and northern Borrelho-grande-de-coleira and sometimes Pilrito-escuro can be seen.

If going by bus, take number 1 from Trelleborg train staion to Trelleborg Drivgarnet and walk. Unfortunately its a quite long walk but the last bit you can walk by the sea.
If going by car follow road E6 and turn S towards Fredshög and Stavstensudde.
