Normally Söne Mad is one large and clear water area, suitable for resting ducks, geese and other wetland birds. A good place to see Águia-rabalva, falcão-peregrino and Tartaranhão-ruivo-dos-pauis. Nesting birds are Narceja-comum, Frango-d'água, Abetouro-comum and Torcicolo in the summertime. Often you can also encounter Pica-pau-malhado-pequeno and Chapim-de-bigode.

By car or bike to either the bird tower at Nyckelbergstornet (Park on the left in the field before the forest slope before the harbor. It is then approx. 300 m left to walk on the forest road.
