The bay near the village Hedesunda is called Hedesunda Fjärderna, a unique landscape, with hundreds of small islands, marshes and ancient woods. The birdlife is very extensive; you’ll find a large variety of Woodpeckers, Owls and you can see Águia-pesqueira. Among the other birds you can see are Gaivota-parda, Merganso-grande, Águia-rabalva, Pato-olho-d'ouro, Mobêlha-pequena, Grou-comum and Cisne-bravo. The are is also the habitat for wildlife such as, moose, deer, beaver, lynx and bear.
