At Kungsbro 212 Bird species have been recorded. Kungsbro is a nature reserve next to the lake of Roxen. At the lake 296 bird species have been recorded. During winter large amounts (hundreds if not thousands) of Zarro-negrinha, Pato-real, and Pato-olho-d'ouro. Among these Merganso-pequeno, Merganso-grande, Cisne-vulgar, Mergulhão-de-crista, Alcatraz-comum, Galeirão-comum, Cisne-bravo, Piadeira, and Frisada. In mild winters you can observe hundreds of Ganso-comum, and Ganso do Canadá. Sometimes Estorninho-malhado, Ganso-grande-de-testa-branca, and Abibe-comum also winter in the area. Birds of prey like Águia-d'asa-redonda, Búteo-calçado, peneireiro-de-dorso-malhado / peneireiro, Águia-rabalva, and Tartaranhão-azulado can also be seen in the area. And Picanço-grande.
During spring large amounts of geese stay in the hundreds on the fields and meadows. In some years Abibe-comum, Ganso-campestre, and Laverca are found here. Large amounts dabbling ducks, can be found some of whom breed. Many wading birds like Maçarico-de-bico-direito, Maçarico-real, Maçarico-galego, Ostraceiro, Perna-vermelha-comum, Maçarico-bastardo, and Combatente use the coastal meadows as feeding grounds. From the observation tower you get a good view of the lake. On the lake you can see hundreds of Andorinha-do-mar-comum, Gaivota-argêntea and Gaivota-parda. Smaller amounts of Gaivina-de-bico-vermelho, Gaivina-preta, gaivota-da-asa-escura and Gaivota-pequena can be found from May-September.
Kungsbro has a small colony of Guincho-comum. Waders like Abibe-comum, Ostraceiro, Perna-vermelha-comum, and Narceja-comum. Other breeding birds are: Frisada, Ganso-comum, Galeirão-comum, Marrequinha-comum, and Mergulhão-de-crista. Among passerine birds rouxinol-dos-caniços, Felosa-dos-juncos, Escrevedeira-dos-caniços, alvéola-amarela and many more breed.
During autumn Petinha-dos-prados, Escrevedeira-das-neves, Pintarroxo-de-bico-amarelo, Petinha-de-garganta-ruiva, Pombo-torcaz use the fields and coastal meadows as resting ground. Calidris-waders often use the coastal meadows when the water levels at Roxen are low. Among these Pilrito-comum, Pilrito-de-bico-comprido, and Pilrito de Temminck are the most common. Narceja-galega can also be found. Garça-branca-grande and Garça-real are also often found.

The nature reserve is just outside the towns of Berg and Ljungsbro. The area is close to Linköping. There is a parking spot at the birdwatching tower and south of the river Motala Ström at Sjöliden parking spaces can be found. Click on a P in the map to get directions to that point.
