Descrição
The hamlet of Teno Alto lies high up in the Teno mountains in the northwest of Tenerife. It is a remote but beautiful area with many hiking trails. It has fields with grazing goats alongside patches of tree heath vegetation and hillside crops. This is a place to look out for farmland birds that you won't find on many other places in Tenerife. In particular Pardal-francês, Trigueirão and Pintarroxo-comum. Sometimes even very rare birds like Codorniz and Escrevedeira-de-garganta-preta are seen or heard.
