The small Puebla campsite is situated on the Embalse de José Torán. This reservoir is located on the bird migration route to Tarifa. As spring progresses, a large part of the reservoir dries up, allowing you to make beautiful walks inside the reservoir. Especially during the autumn migration the (empty) reservoir is visited by hundreds of Borrelho-grande-de-coleira and Borrelho-pequeno-de-coleira, 3 species of alvéola-amarela, countless Andorinha-dáurica, as well as Androinha-das-rochas, Andorinho-dos-beirais, Andorinha-das-barreiras and Andorinha-das-chaminés. Poupa can be seen in large numbers. Peneireiro-cinzento hunts every day, often with 2 or 3 individuals.
In spring and summer the campsite has breeding Picanço-de-dorso-ruivo, Rabirruivo-preto, Rabirruivo-de-testa-branca, Papa-moscas-preto, Papa-moscas-cinzento, picanço-real, Pardal-espanhol, 4 species of tits, Pica-pau-malhado-grande, Pica-pau-malhado-pequeno and Pica-pau-verde. The Águia-imperial-ibérica and Grifo-comum breed in the vicinity of the campsite. Águia-cobreira, Águia-calçada and Águia-pesqueira are also frequently seen, as are Milhafre-preto and Milhafre-real.
Located between Seville and Cordoba, the small campsite is an excellent place to stay surrounded by nature. There are a huge variety of birds to spot on and around the campsite. If you stay for a few days, you can easily see 80 species of birds up close.
