Descrição
Parque Forestal Valdebebas - Felipe IV consists of a young forest of native vegetation, though an area to the south does have older trees. Most of the area is dominated by stone pines, which hold all of the common birds of the area. The park has several streams and and two small lakes. These attract birds such as Alvéola-cinzenta, Chapim-de-faces-pretas, Frango-d'água (uncommon), Guarda-rios-comum and sometimes Pato-ferrugíneo. Some other ducks, like Frisada, might occasionally show up. Waders, such as Pássaro-bique-bique can also appear. There have been records of Alcaravão. During winter, the top part of the park is very good for Tordo-ruivo-comum, with Tordo-zornal also being present. Some raptors like Abutre-preto might fly over, but this isn't a good spot for them. Mocho-galego is present, however, the park is closed at night, making other owl species sightings scarce. Grou-comum might ocassionally fly over during winter.
