Laguna del Toro is a quiet and secluded place. If you travel on the highway you can take a break here and do some nice birding. Another way to access the lagoon is through the small town of Nueva Jarilla, along a dirt road. Among the birds you can see here are Galeirão-comum, Galinha-d'água, Perdiz-do-mar, Gaivina-de-bico-preto, Zarro-comum, Cotovia-de-poupa, Gaivota-de-patas-amarelas, Mergulhão-pequeno, Rola-turca, Rola-comum, Garça-real, Íbis-preta, Borrelho-pequeno-de-coleira.
