You come along the Mirador Cruz del Carmen as you venture into the laurel forests of Anaga Country Park. On a clear day the lookout point gives you a panoramic view over the Vega Laguna and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of La Laguna itself. In the distance, you can see the outline of the Teide volcano. Pombo de Bolle is observed here quite often. Pombo das Canárias is also sometimes spotted, but less often. Other birds you can observe are Águia-d'asa-redonda, peneireiro-de-dorso-malhado / peneireiro, Andorinhão-da-serra, Estrelinha-de-poupa and Chapim-azul-africano. A path that starts from the lookout point allows you to explore the laurel forest.

From the city of San Christobál de La Laguna you drive up the road to the Las Mercedes mountain. Be there early to avoid the crowds. A good idea anyway because early morning you have the best chances to see Pombo de Bolle. Click on the P in the map for directions. Beside the lookout point is a restaurant, a visitor centre and a market.
