Charco de San Ginés is a small bay in the middle of the city of Arrecife where the ebb and flow of the tides creates a mudflat where many wading and shore birds of Lanzarote can be found. Despite being a busy tourist area, there are still an incredible number of birds to see. Birds you can observe include Garça-branca-pequena, Gaivota-de-patas-amarelas, Maçarico-galego, Borrelho-grande-de-coleira, Borrelho-de-coleira-interrompida, Rola-do-mar and Pilrito-sanderlingo.

Charco de San Ginés is located in the center of Arrecife. The place is easily accessible. Around the water are terraces where you can have a drink and you can park everywhere. Press a P on the map for directions to a parking spot. This place is also easily accessible by public transport. There is a bus stop on Avenida Olof Palme.
