Just drive around the area and stop frequently and you can see birds like Abetarda-comum, Sisão, Cortiçol-de-barriga-preta, Alcaravão, Peneireiro-cinzento and Rolieiro-comum. Or at the ponds rare ducks like Pato-de-rabo-alçado and often Flamingo-comum. But also more common birds like Perdiz-comum, Corvo, Abelharuco-comum, Poupa and Toutinegra-de-cabeça-preta.
Sometimes Abetarda-comum can be seen in large groups up to 70 birds!
