The Boumort National Game Reserve, a protected area since 1991, is located on a site of more than 13,000 hectares in the western Catalan pre-Pyrenees. Boumort is the only area in Europe where the 4 vultures of Europe breed, (Grifo-comum, Abutre-preto, Abutre do Egipto, Quebra-ossos). In addition it is possible to see Águia-real, Milhafre-real and near the refuge, it is also common to see Verdilhão-serrano, Cruza-bico-comum, Pica-pau-malhado-grande etc... Note: From the fence where you enter the game reserve, to the refuge, the track is not in a very good condition and a 4x4 car is necessary to complete this route.

Espagnol: Ruta para hacer en coche. A partir de la valla donde se entra a la reserva de caza, hasta el refúgio, la pista es bastante mala. Es la única zona de Europa donde crian los 4 buitres de Europa, (Grifo-comum, Abutre-preto, Abutre do Egipto, Quebra-ossos) además de poder ver Águia-real, Milhafre-real y en el refugio, también es común ver Verdilhão-serrano, Cruza-bico-comum, Pica-pau-malhado-grande etc...

This route is done by car, it starts from the town of La Pobla de Segur, to the town of Pessonada. Once past the town you take the track to the left, and continue along the track, until the fence. From here, begins a bad forest track, where a 4x4 car is necessary, until you reach the refuge, and you follow the track through the northern part of the mountain until you reach the town.

Espagnol: Esta ruta se hace en coche, se empieza desde el pueblo de La Pobla de Segur, hasta el pueblo de Pessonada, una vez pasado el pueblo cojemos la pista de la izquierda, seguimos por la pista, hastala valla, y a partir deaquí, empieza una pista forestal mala, donde es necesario un coche 4x4, hasta llegar al refugio, y seguimos la pista por la parte norte de la montaña hasta llegar al pueblo.
