Descrição
Todorova Reka (Todor's Creek) is a well-preserved habitat with an old and humid mixed forest of Beech, Oak, and Spruce. The creek passes through the valley with long patches of Spruce and some Fir scattered along the riverbanks and finally flows into Veliki Pek River near the Debeli Lug (Dense Woodland) village. The steep slopes of surrounding hills and sharp cuts made by tributary streams are covered by Beech while the hilltops are mostly covered with Oak forest. The area is pretty humid and although the altitude is only 350-600 meters, it feels more mountainous than it really is.
Despite the heavy exploitation of the forest in recent years, there are still a lot of old trees attracting many woodpecker species, most notably Pica-pau-cinzento, Pica-pau-preto, Pica-pau-mediano, and Pica-pau-de-dorso-branco (nominate subspecies). Alvéola-cinzenta, Melro-d'água, and Ferreirinha-comum can be found around the creek, while Chapim-preto, Estrelinha-de-cabeça-listada, and Trepadeira-do-bosque are in the Spruce forest. These old-growth forests are also breeding place for many Papa-moscas-de-colar and some Papa-moscas-pequeno.
The whole area is a part of the IBA Homolje, while one small part of the area is protected as Strict Nature Reserve Mustafa. Also nearby to the south is Strict Nature Reserve Felješana with the same type of habitat.

Acesso
The main access to the area is from the Debeli Lug village. The asphalt road passes under the railway bridge immediately after it exits the village and leads to the Todorova Česma picnic area. It is possible to park there and continue on foot. The dirt road along the creek's valley is perfectly passable by regular cars except after the heavy rains when it can be muddy. Departing minor side roads are only passable on foot.
