Descrição
Polyabta River Mouth is a staging site, where a variety of bird species can be encountered. In spring, Citrine Wagtail and Western Yellow Wagtail frequently forage among partly flooded tussocks. Other passerines staging in spring include Siberian Stonechat, Pallas's Bunting, Lesser Whitethroat (blythi), Little Bunting, Sedge Warbler, Shore Lark, Snow Bunting and Arctic Redpoll.
Waterbirds migrating along the river in spring, and occasionally staging in the area, include Common Scoter, Eurasian Wigeon, Northern Pintail, Little Gull Long-tailed Skua, Arctic Skua, Common Crane, Eurasian Oystercatcher, Curlew Sandpiper, Whimbrel and Black-tailed Godwit.
Breeders include Terek Sandpiper (frequently displaying over the water in spring) and Temminck's Stint. Common Gull (henei) and Lesser Black-backed Gull (Heuglin's) are frequently seen. Among raptors, White-tailed Eagle, Rough-legged Buzzard and Merlin have been observed.

Polyabta River Mouth is located south of city of Salekhard. It is possible to walk from Salekhard city centre (about 40 minutes), or take a cab.
