The low bridge of Ponte de São Domingos crosses the small river Séqua. At this place the river is overgrown with reeds and looks like a small marsh. The banks of the river are covered with trees, shrubs and orchards. There is little traffic on the bridge and it is a pleasant place for bird watching. Among the birds you can encounter are Papa-figos, Codorniz, Perdiz-comum, Guarda-rios-comum, Abelharuco-comum, Fuinha-dos-juncos, Pica-pau-verde, Pega-azul, Rouxinol-bravo, Rouxinol-comum, Bico-de-lacre, Poupa, Cegonha-branca and Toutinegra-de-cabeça-preta.
