Lagoa da Urgeiriça is a small pond that is very accessible and good for some easy birding. The surrounding areas are composed of small forests of pine, with some oaks and acacia trees, and there are also small areas of cultivated land. Among the birds you can encounter in the area are Mergulhão-pequeno, Milhafre-preto, Pica-pau-malhado-pequeno, Corvo, Chapim-preto, Rouxinol-bravo, Toutinegra-de-cabeça-preta, Papa-moscas-preto, Rabirruivo-preto, Cartaxo-comum, Escrevedeira-de-garganta-preta and Rouxinol-comum.

The lake is right next to the road and it is possible to park. Click on the P in the map to get directions. From a dirt road on the western side you can see most of the lagoon.
