Descrição
Faia Brava is a 1000 hectare nature reserve located in northeastern Portugal, on either side of the Côa River, a tributary of the Douro. Species occur in the area which are very rare in Europe and threatened with extinction. This mainly concerns the Águia de Bonelli and Abutre do Egipto, which breed on the steep cliffs. Other cliff breeders that occur in the region are the falcão-peregrino, Grifo-comum, Bufo-real, Cegonha-preta and Corvo. Large raptors soaring the skyes, big amount of small song birds. Big chances of seeing rare bird species here.

Acesso
The tourist infrastructure is still limited. It is a wild not really known area, so there are no specific parking areas to visit the area. Best option is to park in in the small hamlet of Cidadelhe and explore the area on foot from there. It is allowed to wander through the area; more specific it is almost the only option since there are no real hiking paths.
