Estação Agronómica Oeiras is an agricultural research institute. A green area of 130 hectares that is conventiently close to the centre of Oeiras and the railway station. The Estação Agronómica provides a variety of habitats (active farmland, abandoned farmland, woods, a stream) and about 100 bird species have been recorded. Andorinha-dáurica, Andorinho-dos-beirais, Andorinha-das-chaminés and Androinha-das-rochas can all be seen. The stream of Rio das Parreiras is reliable for Alvéola-cinzenta and Guarda-rios-comum.

Estação Agronómica is conventiently close to the centre of Oeiras and on walking distance from the railway station. The area is easily walkable with good paths. There is a cafe on site. The suggested circular walking route on the map is about 4 km. Good access to restaurants in the surrounding area.
