Żabie Doły is a natural enclave among the densely built urban areas of Bytom, Chorzów and Piekary Śląskie. They are a habitat suitable for the reproduction of many animals, which are difficult to find in such a highly urbanized region. In 2018 the area was revitalized - hides, walkways and bird watching stations were created. The birds themselves have gained artificial islands, where they can safely rest and breed. You can observe here among others: Garça-pequena, Mergulhão-de-crista, Cisne-vulgar, Galeirão-comum, Guincho-comum, Frango-d'água, Narceja-comum and Pato-real.
