The Jezioro Dominickie lake is of importance for many birds. This 384 hectare reservoir is connected by a system of canals with other nearby lakes. Geese (with a predominance of Ganso-comum), Galeirão-comum and various species of ducks (including Pato-preto and Pato-fusco), as well as Mobêlha-pequena and Mobêlha-árctica, Mergulhão-de-crista, Mergulhão-de-pescoço-preto, Mergulhão-de-pescoço-castanho and Merganso-pequeno winter in great numbers. Of the birds of prey, it is not uncommon to see Águia-rabalva, sometimes falcão-peregrino.

Observations are best made from the southern side of the lake (also due to sunlight). An unpaved pedestrian and bicycle path runs along the lake shore.
