If the water conditions are right, some water and marsh birds stay here such as: Ganso-comum, Cisne-bravo, Cisne-pequeno, Garça-branca-grande, Perna-verde-comum, Combatente, Perna-vermelha-comum, Perna-vermelha-escuro, Pilrito-comum, Narceja-comum, Gaivina-preta, Gaivina-d'asa-branca. The most interesting birds that have been observed here: Falaropo-de-bico-grosso, Pilrito-peitoral, Pernilongo, Colhereiro. During the breeding season, a good place for: Garça-pequena , Abetouro-comum , Chapim-de-bigode, Chapim-de-faces-pretas, Felosa-unicolor, Águia-rabalva and Milhafre-preto.
