For sea bird migration watching on the Maasvlakte, this counting station is your go-to site. The station is situated at the westernmost point of the Maasvlakte. Seabirds can be seen here all year round, but especially in autumn and winter. And especially with a strong westerly wind. Moleiro-grande, Moleiro-parasítico, Merganso-de-poupa, Ganso-patola, Arau-comum and Mobêlha-pequena are frequently observed here during autumn migration and winter. As always with seabird watching, a telescope is essential.

Nederlands: Deze zeevogel trektelpost ligt op het meest westelijke puntje van de Tweede Maasvlakte. Omdat de Tweede Maasvlakte ver de Noordzee in steekt zijn hier het hele jaar door zeevogels te zien. Met een piek tijdens de najaarstrek en ook in de winter zijn hier vaak veel vogels te zien. Vooral met flinke westenwind of noordwestenwind. Moleiro-grande, Moleiro-parasítico, Merganso-de-poupa, Ganso-patola, Arau-comum en Mobêlha-pequena worden hier veelvuldig gezien tijdens de najaarstrek en winter. Zoals altijd bij zeevogels kijken is een telescoop noodzakelijk.

Zeevogel trektelpost Maasvlakte is located at the westernmost point of the Maasvlakte on Prinses Maximaweg. There is a parking lot near the seabird counting station. Press P on the map for directions to the parking lot. The counting station is situated on top of the dune and has a wooden windbreak with benches.

Nederlands: Trektelpost Tweede Maasvlakte ligt op het meest westelijke puntje van de Tweede Maasvlakte aan de Prinses Maxima-weg. Naast de telpost ligt een parkeerplaats. Druk op P in de kaart voor een routebeschrijving naar de parkeerplaats. De telpost ligt bovenop het duin en heeft een houten windscherm met bankjes, maar is niet overdekt.
