An area of approximately 70 ha of arable land and vacant sandy soils that are managed by nature organisation Natuurmonumenten. On behalf of Natuurmonumenten, we count all the field birds that use the fields in the winter. In winter, large flocks of finches gather here. Birds we have seen here include: Picanço-de-dorso-ruivo, Escrevedeira-dos-caniços, Dom-fafe, Picanço-grande, Tordeia, Escrevedeira-amarela, Corvo, Perdiz-cinzenta, Galinhola, Bútio-vespeiro, Cotovia-pequena, chapim-montês, Chapim-de-poupa, Laverca, Mocho-galego, Pica-pau-verde, Pica-pau-malhado-pequeno, Felosa-assobiadeira, Felosa-das-figueiras, Estrelinha-de-poupa, papa-amoras-cinzento, Tordo-zornal, Papa-amoras-comum, Cartaxo-comum, Chasco-cinzento, Pintassilgo, Rabirruivo-de-testa-branca, Estrelinha-de-cabeça-listada, Rabirruivo-preto, Trepadeira-azul, alvéola-amarela, Tordo-ruivo-comum, Bico-grossudo, Cruza-bico-comum, Petinha-das-árvores, Lugre, Escrevedeira-dos-caniços.

Nederlands: Het gaat hierbij om een gebied met ca. 70 hectare akkerland en braakliggende zandgronden die door Natuurmonumenten beheerd worden. Wij tellen in opdracht van Natuurmonumenten in de winter alle akkervogels die gebruik maken van de akkers. We treffen hier in de winter grote groepen Vinken, Groenlingen, Geelgorsen, Graspiepers en af en toe Grauwe Klauwier, Klapekster. In de "Birdlist" staan de soorten die hier over het gehele jaar zijn aangetroffen.

The Zeddammer Fields are located directly west of the village of Zeddam. Easy parking in the area. Press P on the map for directions to a parking spot. You can explore the area on foot in about two hours.

On the left side of the Beekseweg (N335) lies a beautiful area (approx. 5 ha.) overgrown with mainly Broom (Cytisus scoparius) and a few solitary trees (mainly Birch) that is unfortunately not accessible. With a telescope/binoculars, the entire area can be seen well from the cycle path that runs along the N335. You can also take a walk (approx. 1 hour) around the area.

Nederlands: Aan de linkerkant van de Beekseweg (N335) ligt een prachtig gebiedje (ca.5 ha.) begroeid met hoofdzakelijk Brem (Cytisus scoparius) en enkele solitaire bomen (voornamelijk Berk) dat helaas niet toegankelijk is. Met de telescoop/verrekijker, is het gehele gebied vanaf het fietspad, dat langs de N335 loopt echter goed te overzien. Bovendien kan men een wandeling (ca 1 uur) rondom het gebied maken.
Winter: Picanço-grande, Escrevedeira-amarela, Pintarroxo-comum, Tentilhão-comum, Dom-fafe, peneireiro-de-dorso-malhado / peneireiro, Águia-d'asa-redonda, Corvo, Pisco-de-peito-ruivo, Pintassilgo, Narceja-comum, melro, Galinhola, Narceja-comum, Pisco-de-peito-ruivo, Tordeia, Tordo-comum, Carriça, Escrevedeira-amarela, Pintassilgo, Gralha-preta, chapim-real, Chapim-azul, Pombo-torcaz, Pombo-bravo.
Zomer: Cartaxo-comum (ca. 4 broedparen) en alle vernoemde soorten uitgezonderd de Picanço-grande. In het gebied broeden in het seizoen ca. 10 broedparen Escrevedeira-amarela.
