This site near the hamlet of Nieuwstad is a quiet place where you can look over the sandbanks of the Eems. A spotting scope is recommended because the birds can be far away. If you time it right, you will have the sun at your back when the tide is favorable. See the link to the tide table below.

Nederlands: De zandplaten van de Eems bij Nieuwstad trekken veel vogels aan. Dit is een rustige plek waar je over de zandplaten van de Eems kan kijken. Nieuwstad is located 10 km north of the town of Delfzijl. Press P on the map for directions to the parking spot. From there you can walk up the sea wall.
