An artificial nesting wall for Andorinha-das-barreiras was created adjacent to the reed marsh of the lake during the construction of the aqueduct. This wall is clearly visible from the cycle path. In the reed bed there are often Felosa-dos-juncos, rouxinol-dos-caniços, Chapim-de-bigode and many species of ducks on the water. A pair of Águia-rabalva has been nesting in the area for several years now.

Nederlands: Oeverzwaluwwand in talud van het aquaduct en dicht bij het meertje de Morra. Aansluitend aan het rietmoaras van het meertje is een kunstmatige oevezwaluwand gemaakt tijdens de bouw van het aquaduct. Deze wand is vanaf het fietspad goed zichtbaar. In het rietveld zitten vaak Chapim-de-bigode Felosa-dos-juncos rouxinol-dos-caniços en op het water vele soorten eenden. In de buurt broedt al enkele jaren een paartje Águia-rabalva.
