The Luzerneveld area is a famous birdingarea during (mainly) Autumn migration in the port area of the Tweede Maasvlakte near the city of Rotterdam. Many species of rare migrant can turn up here, hiding in the scattered bushes or on the open fields. Common species that can be seen here are Chasco-cinzento, Cartaxo-nortenho and Rabirruivo-preto. Scarcer species that often turn up here are Escrevedeira da Lapónia, Torcicolo and Felosa-bilistada.
Some rare migrants that have been discovered here are Pilrito-canela, Chasco-isabel, Ferreirinha de Pallas, Pardal-espanhol and Felosa-cítica.

Nederlands: Het Luzerneveldgebied is een bekend vogelgebied tijdens (voornamelijk) Herfsttrek in het havengebied van de Tweede Maasvlakte bij Rotterdam. Veel soorten zeldzame trekvogels kunnen hier opduiken, verstopt in de verspreide struiken of op de open velden. Veel voorkomende soorten die hier te zien zijn, zijn Chasco-cinzento, Cartaxo-nortenho en Rabirruivo-preto. De schaarsere soorten die hier vaak voorkomen zijn Escrevedeira da Lapónia, Torcicolo en Felosa-bilistada.

The area is fairly easy accessable. You can walk around a depot and look for small songbirds on the fences and scattered bushes. On the open field to the west, you can look for species like Chasco-cinzento and Escrevedeira da Lapónia.

Nederlands: Het gebied is redelijk goed bereikbaar. Je kunt rond een depot lopen en op zoek gaan naar kleine zangvogels op de hekken en in de verspreide struiken. Op het open veld in het westen kun je zoeken naar soorten als Chasco-cinzento en Escrevedeira da Lapónia.
